Carter's started out in October of 2008, and we wouldn't still be around today if it were not for the wonderful people of Port Orchard coming in, enjoying our ice cream, chocolates, desserts and more. In addition, they have voted us Best Dessert in S.K. the last 6 years, and into the top 5 of the Best of Western Washington on KING 5 several times. And they have also been super supportive in other ways ~ through a Kiva crowd-funded loan and a crowd-sourced Kickstarter, people in Port Orchard (and way beyond) enabled us to meet some challenges and keep going to where we are now.
Thanks Port Orchard !
You're the reason we put forth our best each and every day. But while we're making the best chocolate in Kitsap (and some of the best of the entire area), we do it with concern for the environment and the workers who bring this delight forth from the Earth. The chocolate we use in our truffles comes from a company which wins awards for their environmental and labor practices. Our packaging from the very beginning was all recycled cardboard and biodegradable plastic.
We now use a recycle-able plastic box along with our other recycled packaging.
Locally sourced dairy ingredients and natural flavorings make our Ice Cream the most wonderful thing in town !
Interesting ( in a good way) flavors including Brickleberry, Swirly Jack, . Maple Bacon, Gorgonzola...
plus a variety of seasonal flavors as well as dairy free Sorbets.
Milk Shakes, Root Beer Floats, Sorbet Arnold Palmers...
Truffles made using single origin, organically grown Columbian 65% and 70% chocolate using ingredients including traditional flavors with a twist: the Raspberry truffle uses a local raspberry dessert wine. We use many local wines and beers, top shelf liqueurs, teas, spices, nuts; we also make Turtles, Peanut Butter Cups, Barks, Haystacks, Chocolate Dipped Bacon, Ginger, Orange Peel, and lots more !
Chocolates & Ice Cream
Soft and creamy caramel squares dipped in chocolate ~ sea salt plus various flavors including orange, mocha and pineapple/coconut; intense sauces including the very popular Whiskey sauce from Heritage in Gig Harbor that goes into the Swirly Wherskey Ice Cream.
